5 Ways I relieve Stress

Updated: Jan 16, 2019

As the month of April is finally upon us, we are celebrating stress awareness for the duration of April. Most millennium get overwhelmed and stress fast these days as we love to take on many challenges. With this being said, it is time to take control of your high-stress level before it turns into a deep depression. Here are my top 5 things I like to do to keep myself “STRESS-FREE”!

Read a Book

I have found that sitting down and reading a nice book is a great way to escape your overthinking mind. If you are not a novelist fan don’t worry, pick up a sport or lifestyle magazine!

Did you know that in 2009 a study as shown that reading a book helps lower your stress level by 68%! This method will only work if you pick up something that you like. For example; if you love mechanics pick up a magazine about cars rather than a cosmopolitan.

The great outdoors

Fresh air will always help you clear your mind! Go out for a walk, and explore your surroundings. Maybe try hitting “Two birds with one stone” grab that book and enjoy it in your back yard. Research suggests that being surrounded by green landscape (grass, trees, flowers, etc.) will make you feel positive and happy.

Spa Day

Once in a while, it is important to treat yourself to reboot your body & spirit. Hey, even if you have a big ego and think this is silly taking a warm bubble bath will help you relax.

Hobbies

Doing something you love gives you a reason to take a break in life. Hobbies are also a great way to meet new people and surround yourself with people that respect you. Felling burnt out? Well, doing what you love helps you feel happy in the moment. If you love what you are doing how can you worry about the rest?
